Faith is a Daily Action Item

“…faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.” James 2:17

I don’t particularly like making to-do lists, but they are so incredibly valuable. Taking those 5-10 minutes at the start of my day to outline what NEEDS to get done and prioritizing provides a stable foundation for my day. No matter what gets thrown in the mix and even if I don’t make it all the way through (which can be FRUSTRATING), I have peace knowing I at least tried to accomplished something.

You have to approach your day with faith knowing that there is a purpose for it. There are very specific reasons God saw fit for you to remain living, breathing, talking, working, smiling, driving, in good health, a friend, a family member, etc.

What you dreamed about achieving yesterday/last night? I bet it was an AMAZING idea. It won’t happen if you don’t put forth action EVERY DAY. It could be something as simple as sorting the stack of business cards from a networking meeting, making one phone call, shoot just LISTING it on your to-do list as an action item.

Fears, distractions, negativity, will be present throughout the day. Faith + Action squashes all of that. When that person or that little voice inside says “You can’t do that,” you can reply, “What do you mean? I AM doing this.”
