I didn’t call faith a daily action item because it sounded good. It’s true. My reactions/attitude to my day unfolds differently when I begin in faith and with the Word. Below is a round-up of 31 verses – one for each day – to help you ward off your fears! Consider reading the entire chapter for the full context.

  1. For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7
  2. You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Isaiah 26:3
  3. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. Mark 11:24
  4. For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God. Ephesians 2:8
  5. Fearing people is a dangerous trap, but trusting the Lord means safety. Proverbs 29:25
  6. Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. James 1:2-4
  7. Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love. 1 John 4:18
  8. And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Matthew 17:20
